This is my new favourite song! It is quite beautiful!  I love "Sky" also. Damien's original songs are brilliant! Thank god for Australian Idol, because otherwise I probably would have never heard that voice of an angel, or be privleged to watch & listen to such an accomplished musician.   Let's hope Damien gets quite a few of his own songs on the debut CD. |

hear hear...I actually prefer "Come to Me" to NOML.. I reckon Damien does too! (when one considers how he is playing around with NOML now when he sings it..hehe) |

Well he said that his album was going to have alot of his own original songs on there so...BRING ON D'S SONGS!!  Come to me and sky are just wonderful arent they, definitely my favourites too ;D |

Come to Me is the real reason I bought the single! While NOML has grown on me, CTM is really D. What a magically simple and beautiful arrangement and vocals. Moving stuff. I haven't been disappointed in any of his originals - in fact I sing them to myself all the time (with a small smile on my face and a tear in my eye)

hear hear...I actually prefer "Come to Me" to NOML.. Same here! He makes NOML good, but if you do a lyric comparison...the results are obvious. He's such a talented song writer! Everything he writes is just like him - full of heart and integrity. Every time I hear that song I think "gee, Eils is so lucky!"  |

Ah Sunshine, I totally agree. Come To Me is absolutely beautiful and it wafts around in my head for hours after I've listened to it. In fact all of Damien's original compositions are funtarstic. I wonder what the inspiration was behind the lyrics of Come To Me? I would really love to know and hopefully Damien will enlighten us one day.

Yes..totally agree. This is a stunningly beautiful song...
"Funtarstic" that D was the producer...Does that mean they just went with his recording that he'd already done or did they re-record, re-mix at the Sony studios too?

I've loved Come to Me since I downloaded it from his myspace site months ago. I was hoping that he would do it for 'Up Close and Personal'. I was so thrilled to see it on the B side of NOML. It is a beautiful song, and showcases his talent to everyone. Wouldn't it be great if it started getting airplay?

Totally agree with everything u said Bgirl.I fell in love with this song months ago & i too was hoping 2 hear it on up close & personal ,so was totally thrilled to hear it on the single. It is pure,simple yet hauntingly beautiful. I think they just used the original recording on the single,it doesn't sound any different to me |

Yes, I have to admit I can't stop listening to that song, it gets better and better for me the more I hear it. Full marks to SonyBMG for including it on 'Winner's Journey'. |

"Come to Me" was another one of my many "Oh....My.... God...." moments when it comes to Damien ;D - when I first heard it I could not believe this man didn't have a recording contract, that voice!!!!! It's such a beautiful emotion in the lyric too - speaks volumes. Really love this song and after I first heard it I was singing it for days!
