I am currently obsessed with 'A Bigger Plan', (playing constantly on my iPod) and I really hope it's on his album.I also have loved every song he has written that I have heard so far, and am looking forward greatly to hearing many more!

Yeah, I was listening to Sky earlier today and thinking how much I really adore the way he puts his words together. It must be a lot of practice and the benefit of life experience - I know I can't come up with lyrics and melodies the way he does. He has really learned from the songwriters he admires - I feel certain that years from now, talented up-and-coming singer-songwriters are going to be citing him as an influence. He's certainly a songwriting influence for me now.

I've only heard two of Damien's songs, 'Come To Me' and 'Sky', and I'd say they are currently two of my favourite tunes. 'Come To Me' is a beautiful, haunting piano piece, with those echoing vocals of Damien ringing in my ears - gorgeous! If this is an indication of what the album will be like next year, Damien will be racking up more multiple platinum awards.

Hey Kami and sunshine yep, life experience is what it's all about for me, plus haunting melodies. ABP is about his feelings arriving in Aus and it is brilliant. I wish you could hear it sunshine, but I'm a dummy and don't know how!

I love "Bigger Plan"..its my current favourite (though 'Come to Me' still owns me ;D) I'm getting excited about the hints that the studio album could be all D originals (or at least a significant percentage I hope!)

I'm on here because i genuinely enjoy every song Damiens written (that I've heard). I never get overly excited by cover bands and singers who only sing other peoples songs - no matter how well they do that. If Damien had just been an Idol contender with an awesome voice but limited song writing ability I possibly would have voted him to the end - but I doubt I would have been joining his forums, buying everything with his name on and standing on a grey rainy day at Maroubra with the kids - hoping to get a glimpse of him.
He is the complete package. The muso with guitar in hand and great singing voice. I've always digged that.

Couldn't have said it any better myself, Crazy...
Songwriters are essentially poets, and I've always been a sucker for men who can write...lol
