I'D LOVE TO HAVE A BEER WITH DAMIEN(slightly changing the lyrics). ;D No, no, you've got it all wrong, that's what we will be singing to Damien at his concerts. I would personally love to hear Damien tackle a John Farnham song, because, you know, they're such classics and brilliantly arranged and I think it would be really fascinating to see what Damien could do with them. And 'A Pub With No Beer' is a must, definitely.

I'd love any of the great pub rock classics - Throw Your Arms Around Me would be amazing! I've also heard Crowded House cover that in an acoustic arrangement (their bass player is H&C's lead singer's brother so that tied in nicely) and it was incredible. There's quite a few Hunters and Collectors songs or Paul Kelly songs that would be perfect for Damien. Edit: Came back because I remembered the other H&C song that would be perfect for Damien - "Lazy Summer Day" - it has a lot of emotion with a tinge of melancholy - songs like that really suit him I think.

Something I was listening to today that I thought Damien could really work with - Frank Ifield's 'I Remember You'. Frank Ifield was famous for his brilliant falsetto, although he tended to overuse it, so some of his songs are a bit amusing! It's a gorgeous song that sounds best performed with just a guitar, and that's where Damien really shines. If he performed it at a concert I just know he'd send the entire female section of the audience (and probably some of the males) into full swoon. 'Throw Your Arms Around Me' would be amazing. I remember Chris Luder doing that on Idol - his version was really good, but Damien doing it would be even better.

Agree he would be great singing any of songs mentioned especially Throw your arms around me!.I reckon he would be bloody brilliant singing Max Merritt"s -Slipping Away as its a very emotional song and we know how much emotion he can put into a song.

Not an aussie song, but (only the lonely) by Roy Orbison would be great.

Green Fields of France (the band played) Waltzing Matilda
both great Aussie songs but not exactly cheerful, I suppose.
Fields of Athenry - a great Irish song, which he does very well.

One of my favourites is 'We are Australian'. Also think he'd do a wonderful job of 'Amazing'. But looking overseas there are a lot of Chicago songs he'd melt everyone with.....'If you Leave me Now', 'Stay the Night'....could go on and on

Oh goodness Braffy... I can just imagine him doing that, with all the Damienites as backup singers. Some of Pete Murray's songs would be good - So Beautiful of course, but some of the slightly rockier ones like Fall Your Way as well.
