From earlier tonight...
MiniDede: "You know how somebody threw undies at Damien, mum?"
Me: "What? Who told you somebody threw undies at Damien?"
Minidede: "You did. You were laughing so hard and I said why are you laughing and you told me somebody just threw undies at Damien".
Me: [remembering, sheepishly, cos we were actually at Warringah Mall, location of the infamous incident] "...er Did I tell you that... er ... that was Janny ... umm, why do you ask?"
Minided: "Well, I was just wondering ... was anything written on them?"

Yeh, you can just imagine, she's spent months thinking about this and thought, well, why on earth would you throw undies at someone (she is 6) and finally she works out - well there must have been a message on them!

Haha thats so funny Dede. Well Roman was in bed tonight and he sang me this song he made up....and it went something like this "I was walkinggggg down the streetttttttt and I saw my mummyyyyy I love my honey bunny mummmyyy And I saw dad and we went to the shopssss and I did my choresss and I loveeee my mummmy my bunnyyyy mummmyy" anyway you get the picture it went on a loop for like 5 minutes. Then when he finished he goes "are u crying, did I make you cry like Damien" so I said (to keep him happy) "yes I am crying" and so then he goes "am I better than Damien!!!" and I said "yes my love you are better than Damien"  |

Had Alex Lloyd on in the car today (under protest...kids wanted Damien) so to placate them I say "Alex Lloyd and Damien are friends". 4 y.o DD thinks a moment and says "are they friends because they both sing NMTF?" (lol!) Only got half way through the AL CD when we decided to listen to TWJ anyway... Come to Me comes on (we've already talked previously about how CTM is a "sad song and a quiet song" and had I told the kids D wrote it for a friend of his who was feeling sad after they had a bad experience...or something like that...) So...DD pipes up with her light-bulb moment... "I know Mummy...Alex Lloyd is the friend of Damiens who was feeling sad and that why he was walking alone!" Gotta admit it makes sense from a strictly logical point of view! lol! Later...on the way home ...DD comments that D, AL and Pete Murray all have good voices...but D's is the "most beautiful". She said "all singers are Damiens friends" but when I said D couldn't be friends with all the singers in the world, she says "only the singers with a beautiful voice are Damiens' friends and the singers with not beautiful voices aren't".... Well...with such cute kids and such a cute subject matter...this thread (or this post) could go on forever...lol! (Note: methinks it's true that Women are from Venus and Men are from Mars...notice that 5 y.o DS is MUCH less vocal...) ooh had quick glance at your first few words ---- wondered what thread this was whhheeew ------ nice to see the training begins so early with Damienites....... |
