Just lovely. *sigh* Watch - www.youtube.com/watch?v=FDNgUXogiZwDownload audio - Lilac WineFirefox Users: Right click the above link and choose Save Link AsInternet Explorer Users: Right click the above link and choose Save Target As Thanks to Ozbrat ;D Originally performed by Elkie Brooks, but Buckley's version was inspired to the version sung by Nina SimoneI lost myself on a cool damp night I gave myself in that misty light Was hypnotized by a strange delight Under a lilac tree
I made wine from the lilac tree Put my heart in its recipe It makes me see what I want to see And be what I want to be
When I think more than I want to think Do things I never should do I drink much more that I ought to drink Because it brings me back you
Lilac wine is sweet and heady, Like my love Lilac wine, I feel unsteady, Like my love
Listen to me, I cannot see clearly Isnt that she, coming to me Nearly here
Lilac wine is sweet and heady, Wheres my love Lilac wine, I feel unsteady, Wheres my love
Listen to me, why is everything so hazy Isnt that she, or am I just going crazy, dear
Lilac wine, I feel unready for my love Feel unready, for my love.

Oh good. That means I don't have to persist with my version. Thanks Oz!

There was no need to upload it Dede - it's sitting on my server so there shouldn't be any problems with download limits ;D

Ohh... there's something so eerily beautiful about that, thanks so much Oz.

Thanks for that Dede. Listening to this is the next best thing to actually being at the Tribute. Damien's version is just as good as Jeff Buckley's, and just as hauntingly beautiful. I wonder if he will ever record it. I do hope so.
