I think it's a good choice for a single. Something upbeat will get more airplay hopefully and new fans. I can see it getting remixed though, not sure if that's a good or a bad thing yet.

okay someone needs to be there with flyspray to make sure Damien doesn't swallow any flies. And Irishrockit would like it if Damien is wearing a bear suit and has his back to the camera for the falsetto and heeeeee heeeeeeee heeeeeeee bits.

none of us want to see any sexy young girlie in there. if they need a love interest, and Eils is too busy - then i'm sure there may be a Damienite or two who could find the time to volunteer

I heard this song playing on ABC 720 radio this morning after they did an interview with Damien, and they announced it as his single! Sounded very good!!!

For his video, maybe he could recruit all the Damienites in the background going "Heeeee hee hee hee hee hee!" Hopefully it will be a happy lively clip!

All the singles from Guy's second album were co-writes. I'm pretty sure Damien is the first really prominent Australian Idol contestant to have a single completely of his own writing. Not sure about Ricki Lee's latest single though, and the vaguely memorable James Kannis and Marty Worrall had singles that might have been written completely by them... and I know way too much about this.

I thought this might be the next single the first time I heard it, and I'm happy about it - I think it's really different to other stuff that's out there, but marketable and well produced. Can't wait until it's out!

Just a thought mind you.....but there could be a chorus line of Damienites with Damien singing to each one .....we know it's actually meant for Eils.....but......just to save her time, we could do it.....The Care Committee

This is a great choice for the new single: a guaranteed Top 5 hit, and likely to get a lot more radio airplay than 22 Steps.
BTW: When was Braffy wandering round half naked, and why didn't anyone tell me?

I heard Damien interviewed recently (for the life of me I can't remember where) and he said he was once in an ABBA tribute band! (he was Bennie)

Yeah I agree. I love Alone but I guess AIWIY will have a wider appeal, get more radio play which would mean it will get the number 1 spot
