I can't stop playing this song! It's so early- Beatlesque and incredibly catchy. I wanna sing and dance to it! Love the contrast between the lyric and the melody. The entire arrangement is so enjoyable. Damien sings it with feeling, but in a kind of resigned way..almost saying "isn't it a pity,I'm trying but you just won't listen".

Same here, Trilly! I listened to it 3 times today, and sang it 3 dozen times around the house! ;D It reminds me of Never Meant to Fail in terms of arrangement, it has a speck of country in it. I love it, it's so fun and upbeat! I guess he's right, it is an upbeat song about a depressing subject! It's so catchy and rocky, you can bop along to it. I was driving around playing it loud and singing at the top of my lungs! ;D That's what his music should be, all those guitars. I have the feeling this is the rockier, less commercial route he wants to take and it was tacked on the end of his first major-label album as a taster of what's to come next time! Bring it!

I am the same Trilly- it's one of my favourites on the album. To be honest the first part (the music at the beginning) reminded me a little of Accidently Kelly Street by Frente. It is such a catchy song (even though the subject matter is sad). I can't get it out of my head!

I can hear Accidentally Kelly St now that you mention it, vix. ;D The bell-like guitar is very George Harrison though..and the more the better!! ;D

This one has really really grown on me. Up there with my favourites now and yes it is very catchy and yet I love the meaning behind it.

This is my kind of thread. I am IN LOVE with this song. This is one song that has been on repeat, constantly. I'm even listening to it now, on my MP3 player Go figure, I'm at a friends and I got my D fix with me. There is something about the tune that is just so catchy and hard to erase from my mind.

I love this song! The way Damien pairs such a flippant and cute melody with those harsh words reminds me a bit of U2/Bono's "Sweetest Thing". It's like they're using extreme exaggeration to highlight a petty quarrel with someone who loves and trusts them mutually. Whatever the problem they'll get over it and have fun making up! ... ... ...

Cold cold heart has become another one of my absolute favs... ;D Definitely in the top 3. Love the melody and the lyrics are so raw and simplistic yet accurate in expressing emotion if that makes any sense. It's probably wrong but this song reminds me of a lot of unrequited love: "spent the day thinking about you, thinking about the thoughts in your head" "And I'm on my knees for you, but you tear my soul apart" "bending backwards to try to please you" and that the person that is refusing to love back has a cold cold heart..

My daughter who "pinched" my copy of WWL to put on her ipod to take away with her, just text to say why didn't Damien release this as a single - as it is very catchy and completely radio-friendly.
She is in London at the moment and yesterday she text to say that she walking down by the Thames River with with WWL as backdrop music and it was very peaceful and relaxing.
