From Shine Like the sun: "When your defenses come down, then I see/You still shine like the sun, brighter than anyone"
this really got to me on the first listen, probably still my favourite

That guy is such an idiot There, we have it first hand ;D He has mentioned 'when Eileen and I were gigging', rather than 'when I gigged with Eileen', so maybe...? I know she used to manage the band, it was announced in one of the announcements on the re:Leaf site

I love a lot of lines from Damien's music, but a standout for me is in Beautiful: "You fill the room with something only angels see" - how utterly romantic is that!!!

I melt at that and it's not even about me. And there was that line from All I Want Is You that one of the reviewers criticised - "I can't keep it locked inside, these feelings I can't hide" which I actually really love, because straight after that he lets loose with the HEEEEEEEEEEE-E-E-E-E-EEEEEEEEEE! and it's totally a man-squee, and if any guy expressed their feelings to me with a squee, I'd be significantly impressed.

Lots that mean something special to me have been mentioned, but as a line that shows so much love, and I think is directly aimed at Eils: 'If I kissed your lips and promised eternally, what place steals your heart becomes a home for me" AIWIY "My heart just won't give you up" ISMU "We'll walk a million miles, through the years of our lives, Never alone, cos I'll take you home" NJFTW - this one is personal, it sums up DH and I "It's the simple things that make it all so hard" CCH I've never had a broken love affair, but I think that line fits a lot of everyday situations.

I realized today that "Eyes cold dark and still/ Echoing the thrill" was a rather creepy lyric, very powerful The whole song with Damien singing about suicide grabs you, really. He handled the darker subject matter really well

My favourite line at the moment is from The Long Way Back - "If I'm lost, well it's a small price to pay." That about sums up my life sometimes. And, in Beautiful - "You shine a light." Ooh I really like that line. It's funny though, everyone's saying they like the opening of TLWB, but for me, the start of that song is the only part of it that I don't like much. I also like in Alone: "Don't let the madness drive you..." And there are many more lyrics I like, including some that have already been said. I love a lot of lines from Damien's music, but a standout for me is in Beautiful: "You fill the room with something only angels see" - how utterly romantic is that!!! Oh yeah... A man-squee! Haven't thought about it that way before. With Fool - wasn't that a live performance? Why would Eils be doing backing vocals for that? Unless she was in a band with D.
