I did move to Australia when I was 9. I really thought I'd see kangaroos hopping down the middle of the streets!

Nuffy, Thank you soo much for posting this- it's just beautiful I love hearing Damien talk about the reasons and how he came to move to Australia. Oh poor Angela -it must have broken her heart to "lose" her son to Australia. I hope his success helps ease her heart and that with success comes the financial ability to close the gap between Ireland & Australia. I just love Not Just For the Weekend....it comes straight from his heart. *sigh

Thanks for this Nuffy. It was great to hear Damien talking about his move to Australia and to be quite honest I could listen to Damien talk all day about any subject. ;D Not Just For The Weekend captivated me the first time I heard it and this rendition is exquisite.

Nuffy, this should be in the Music Appreciation thread. I'll move there for you now. ;D Nice find by the way Yes thanks, Roxychic. I was in a quandry about where to put this thread. It must have been heartbreaking especially for his mam and for Damien, too. But it all worked out wonderfully for all of them. Cause now they have the best of two fantastic countries to call home.
