Description:
2007 marks the 25th Anniversary of Carols in the Domain. From it’s humble beginnings Carols in the Domain has grown to become Australia’s largest and most loved Christmas celebration set in front of a sea of flickering candlelight in the Royal Botanic Gardens, Sydney.

Over it’s 25 year history the show has featured some of Australia and the world’s best performers many of whom have returned year after year to sing with a chorus of 80,000 people! This CD is a collection of some of the most popular Christmas carols from over the years.

Carols in the Domain embraces the true spirit of Christmas by helping those less fortunate. Money raised from the sale of this CD will be shared with our official charity, The Salvation Army Oasis Youth Support.

I was there that night Damien sung at the Carols (waaaaaaaaaaaay up the back but will never forget the magical scene of all the twinkling candles and 100,000 people spellbound and listening to Damien sing. Absolutely gorgeous! This will be a lovely memento of it all!

That WILL be a great CD to get. David Hobson singing Holy City will be good to listen to
Last year I went to the rehearsal for the Carols in the Domain and Damien was fantastic. The next night I went into town for the real thing. I knew Shimmery was going to be there and I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw how many people were there
I still looked for Shims even though I didn't know what she looked like in those days. She is nothing like I had pictured in my mind. To cut a long story short, I didn't find Shims but at least I know now what she looks like.
Last year Damien left very early the next morning to go to Ireland for Christmas.

David is awesome! He's such a funny guy and a great voice
And Damien too of course ;D though I wish he'd been able to sing a more upbeat, Christmassy song. Is there some clause that doesn't let him sing things that he hasn't officially recorded or something?
Is he singing at Carols this year? At least he wil have 5 Xmas tracks from the special ediion WWL to choose from ;D

lol, looking for me in a crowd of 100,000 without knowing what I looked like was optimistic, Braffy I hadn't met any other Damienites then, wow that was early on and yet less than a year ago - what a busy year it's been since with so many fantastic events and gatherings!!

I had never been to a big Carols like that before - was surprised at how easy it was to walk around and see things, even though we got there about an hour into it I think, so it was already packed up to about 3/4 of the way back. In reality it didn't feel like we were that far away from the stage, but on the tv from above shots when I figured out where we were, it looked like a million miles So, it's good to know that even if you sit up the back, you can still see at these events, for a first time at going to one we had a great night and walked down to the Quay afterwards with thousands of people and had a nice coffee watching the ferries before going home.

That is a beautiful album worth getting for sure. I remember the song with Belinda Emmitt too!
