I know, myst..puzzles like this always fascinate me too! ;D That song definitely has a touch of ' I Am The Walrus' about it! Slightly OTT but ages ago, Smiley was asking about Reflections Of A Sound, by Silverchair, in the Beatles thread, thinking it sounded Beatlesque too.. I wracked my brains, but I only recently realised it isn't the Beatles it reminds me of..it's The Beach Boys! Very similar to their harmonic structure and rythmns..that's why I like it so much! Sorry Trills, I only just saw this post, it was at the bottom of page one of this thread. I agree, Alex Lloyd's Lucky Star does have a touch of I Am The Walrus. Gawd, when I first heard it, the memories came flooding back but then the similarity slipped away into the rest of the song. I'll have to have a further read of the Beatles thread because I missed Smiley's post about Silverchair's song. One of Damien's songs (can't remember which one at the moment) on WWL has the lyrics "I lost my breath today oh yeah." This reminds me so much of John Lennon's song with the lyrics "I heard the news today, oh boy." Do you know the song I'm talking about?

Thanks for that gj. It sounds like it could be a performance of some kind and I hope that it does come to fruition. Bloody hell, I'm already wishing my life away into 2008. Live accoustic performances in March, A Mother's Day secret, a new album (hopefully) a new book and who knows what else.

D's acoustic version of the Long Way Back is totally different, and frankly, I prefer it. I love the lyrics too..so Damien, and so expressive.

Trilly I think we should pitch a tent when the photo shoot is on, wherever it is. There could be dozens of takes before they get the pic they want. Why don't you offer your services (for a fat fee) as photographer? Actually, I think the DLCC should be on hand for the shoot.

Unfortunately, Damien used the past tense when he mentioned it, so I figure the deed is done!

Trilly, we won't accept anything under a six figure amount, OK? It was great chatting with you and gj tonight, I haven't talked to anyone one here for ages. I have to depart now because that naked man is in my bed again.

When I saw it was you that posted - I knew it was real. Just looked at Alex's website he has actually been in the UK writing etc (just got back I think) and looks like he did a gig of some sort with Chris Issac somewhere also. Well I hope Alex told Chris all about Damien so that he (Damien) and Chris can do a gig together. ;D Can you imagine what that would be like? Maybe Damien and Chris could do a tribute to Roy Orbison. Now that is a brilliant idea
