This board had it's beginnings during the first weeks of Aussie Idol 06.
During the contest we all shared the excitement of seeing Damien's performances every week and went through all the highs and lows of the "Idol Journey".
This section of the forum is dedicated to remembering all Damien's wonderful performances during Idol which brought him to National (and International!) attention and acclaim - as well as all those early days we shared together here!

I'm gradually moving all the old threads over here Braffy  When I went to read some of the older threads tonight, there was a big shock because a lot of the original threads had disappeared off the board when they went past the 14 page mark on the menu!! Luckily by doing some detective work and following some links I was able to find these performance threads again, and tonight Neski and I are setting up some archives so we can be sure to keep them for everyone to enjoy way into the future! Hope everyone totally enjoys reading over all these performance threads which capture the excitement of things as they happened each week! These precious threads lead from the beginnings right up til the moment Damien won the contest!  |

What a great idea, shims. Although I wasn't a member in the early days, I was a lurker and I remember reading the comments on his early performances.

I can't wait to see these - i lurked for ages and ages before joining as a member *this was all new to me* so it will be great to read it now knowing everyone.

Unfortunately, I didn't find this board until Idol had almost finished, so it's good of you to allow me and others to read all the threads I missed out on. And, watching Damien's DVD makes me want to chat about Idol all over again.  |

I'm so happy to see you all enjoying the threads - aren't they fun to read over! Wow, there was a bit of stress each week with the judging etc as well but week by week, there was all that magic as Damien sang and won everyone's hearts! What a wonderful time!  |
