Yeah, I noticed that Damien is the only 06 Idol not to go into the bottom 3. I think (and hope) that it stays that way!
Just been in the idol forum - some fairly nasty people in there - much nicer to be here!
Well done to Damien on another perfect week!

I think it IS only Australia voting Neski ;D HEY! Forgot to mention that I teared up when they showed the oh-so-brief footage of D and the family hug after the performance show.....aaaaaawwwwwwwwww  aww wi got all mushy too haha ;D it was adorable |

That was a really emotional moment when they showed Damien and his family hugging. A great idol moment.

Yes, I wish they'd shown more..but apparently there are 4 other contestants to also show...not that I've noticed ;D hey, I'm curious. I need a little ammo to debate with another idol forum member...there seems to be a lot of "Damien shouldnt win because hes not Australian" ridiculousness going on  Does anyone know if D has citizenship or just residency? Its not vital I know, just curious (I dont want to invade any privacy) Oh, and someone just made the brilliant song suggestion over there for next week...but D will have chosen by now.... |

I have no idea about Damien's residency status but my pov on this is
1: Does anyone in their right mind think the Idol producers would risk a non-eligible person winning? This would have been sorted out at week 1 if there was any issue.
2: Damien has made his home here, has a wife and child here. That's a committment that says he wants to live the Aussie life and if he is a new-Australian and makes a successful life here, isn't that what we'd want for any other immigrant? Including Dean btw...

lol murf it was a whole segment! Ronan went to the idol mansion for a bbq (Ricky burnt the meat, lol) and sat in the back yard with them and played his new single on his guitar - it was great!

Ok so I'm not sure why I didn't rewind the tape right back to the beginning! That's very odd. I did think last night that they went into the revealing of who was out, really fast. LOL I saw the group performance and then when they went through who was in the bottom 3. Oops LOL
Anyway I watched it today and aww I want to meet Ronan! That would have been so cool! and I love that song he sang!

ha ha - you must have thought it was short show!! Yes, I loved Ronan's appearance too, and how the idols enjoyed having him over, I think it was quite a treat for them.

I didn't think it was possible, but I think Damien's voice has actually improved since Idol beginning! His swing style was perfect and sexy, I loved it.  |
