Damien was officially the first person to reach the final 12 in Australian Idol 2006.
He acheived this by singing on You Are So Beautiful. Its any wonder he got through.
Well done damien and good luck in idol.

I wasn't sure if he would get in only because I thought maybe the Aussie's would not get behind him but talent won out in the end and I am sooo glad. Damien has by far the most outstanding voice in the Top 12 and a warm personality which will take him real far! He is now 3rd on the odds! Go Damien!
