Yeah I saw a post on a similar site to this, it might have been mothers...
Anyway, to paraphrase what someone else said: Someone was at a doe show at a pub and they were about to leave when Damien got up to sing on stage (before Idol, of course) and they ended up staying for hours! Lucky girls, having Damien at their beck and call! Just imagine all the songs we'd request if we could do that now!
To that person out there: Sorry I stole your story, but it was a good one! Hope you enjoyed the doe show, and are voting for him now!

Judge Kyle Sandilands didn't seem to think so during the first audition by Damien Leith, below, when he labelled the singer too "ugly". But despite Sandilands's comments, Leith scraped through to the top 100 and, because of his angelic singing voice, finds himself a contestant in the top 24. Completely coincidentally, during a colleague's hens' party at the Balmain Bowling Club in Sydney about a year ago, I was among a group of women (aged from their early 20s to early 30s) who chanced upon a Sunday afternoon performance by Leith. The hens' party had been just about to depart the venue when the Irishman set up in the corner to play a few tunes. We stayed for hours.
Not only did Leith play and sing beautifully, he encouraged a sing-song among punters and had the whole room mesmerised. Sandilands might not believe it, but women of all ages were swooning.Leith's potential for widespread popularity has been backed up by the Australian Idol forums, where Leith has earned a fervent following, with one fan dubbing him as "the next Kurt Nilsen" (the gap-toothed Norwegian who won World Idol). Like completely harmless. Lol I have been following Italktoomuchblog since series 2 - it's extremely hilarious and U love how she expresses her fantisim towards Damien. Especially the one on Audience's Choice night

LMAO. She's definately a funny one. And also... TWoP (Television Without Pity) forum has quite a lot of Damien followers and they provide me lots of entertainment...

Indeed, that's why I never post there - I'm just no match for them. I wonder if they know this site exists and hope that they can drop by sometimes . They never fail to crack me up - I love the Idols nicknames they give (especially Damien's and Dean's *giggle*) |
