Okay. This is officially the cutest Idol winner's video clip ever. Even beats Guy's "Angels Brought Me... uh, a whole pile of boxes?"

I'm so glad this video showcases D's simplicity...a boy with a voice, soulful eyes and a guitar! Really simple, but very effective. I've always hated the random idol couple in these clips, but I'm so glad hes actually IN THE SAME SHOT with them, as opposed to the others were the random couple is just intercut...and completely...random! I'll tell you what though...if it were Deans vid, that guitar wouldn't have been handed over....it would have been thrown! bwah! Winterlongs favourite moments so far:  Boy in an alley. I am inlove with everything he does during the clip in this outfit!  Boy under a tree! I love how it came into focus, and dammit, I just like watching him play! Someone was thinking when they gave him a guitar for this clip...its just like he was on Idol.  Still with the under the tree business *pant*  ..and you know what? I quite liked this semi-surreal ending! I think its probably the most 'grown-up' clip that Idol has done (though I dont remember Maybe Tonight). This is how I want to see D represented  |

Yeah, I just got to the twist ending, and now... I think I need to go back over it again. This is a really good clip. Maybe Tonight was pretty good too, except for the random couple-ness, but this is so much more awesome. And... am I the only person who thinks the part just after you see the random couple get into the car, where Damien is strutting along the street with his guitar, is really adorable?  |

Thanks for the caps, they are ever so lovely. It seems to be one of the best Idol video so far, hated LWYH and ABMH though MT is quite adorable. I can't wait to view the full-video ;D

 love your commentary winter! I was cracking up during this clip - even though I love it! He spent a lot of time looking angst or with his mouth open! That's the drawback of doing falsetto I guess! I was wondering where he was going! I would've laughed if he turned up at home and went "Eileen! Jarvis! I'm home! I brought you a new camera!" ;D Hey Winter, did you revive you drinking game? As soon as I saw the anonymous lovey-dovey couple, I remembered it was one of your criteria to drink! Talk about a cheap guy - driving her a few blocks to wander aimlessly and have dinner in the street! The whole time I was thinking "Girlie! Ditch the dorky guy and run off with adorkable Damien!" I guess she's not paid to do that though - only you and I have that kind of freedom...

And I'm starting to think that the random couple are in there as more of a joke than anything - because they have nothing to do with the actual clip. Not that random couples in Idol clips ever do...  |
