Damien is on right now with Alan Jones being interviewed - it's a wonderful interview, he says Star City is nearly sold out!
Go listen, we'll have to try to get this online somehow.
Edit - ok it just finished. Wonderful wonderful interview, Alan seems to be a big fan and really showcased TWJ & also the tour. Damien said how he had become a citizen yesterday and was amazed at the sales for TWJ and how the tour is for the fans as a thank you and also so they can hear the songs form TWJ before the new album comes out.
Alan said that the new album has been put back for release until May because of the success of TWJ - 5 straight weeks at number 1.
He began by saying that Australia has embraced Damien not just because of his voice or his music but because of the person he is. Beautifully said and very true!!

I had a funny feeling Alan Jones would interview Damien today, so fortunately I turned on 2GB from 8 AM this morning, and for once, I heard the whole interview.  Yes, Alan is a big Damien fan! I don't agree with him on his political views, but it's great he is supporting Damien so much.  All this is very helpful for Damien. Why? Because Alan Jones is the top rating radio broadcaster in Sydney, and he has a huge older audience, the people who tend to buy a lot of CDs. Cultivating the older demographic is a smart move for Damien, I'd argue!  |

The good thing with Alan Jones regarding his musical favourites is that he really gets behind someone once he loves them, and you can be sure that Damien will get lots of good coverage with him and airplay if that is the case - he has a huge huge audience. This morning Alan played Unchained Melody AND Night of My Life with the interview  |

Alan Jones is doing a big outside broadcast in Central Sydney today, and when Damien came on the radio, he got a huge cheer from the crowd! Awesome! |

OK. Braffy just sent an email requesting the full interview be put up. I said how a couple of my friends (that's you Shimms and Sunshine) had told me how good the interview was etc and how supportive you were *was grovelling like mad*. Hopefully, we will get the full version.
