It had better not be the cover. At least his name is at the TOP. I am looking forward to hearing a fulllength version of Danny Boy. I think it sounds like a great mix of songs. Woo Hoo. I'm not sure about the cover either Braffy - could be just a placeholder one I think, since it features an image we've already seen. I was kind of hoping the album would go out on an original number, but I had a feeling Danny Boy would be on there somewhere, and I'm looking forward to hearing it.  And... Cold Cold Heart? Is that an original that just happens to have the same name as another famous song? Because otherwise that would mean way more cover songs than we're expecting... :-\ |

Well that could explain why he was singing Danny Boy on the 10 News the other week  Hope it's right because I too have been dying to hear this - and it also means he should be singing it at the concerts Have to agree about the album cover though - love that pic of D but geez Sony - can someone over there please have a look at some of the inspirational artwork around this Forum and come up with something a little more creative than a studio snapshot  |

That doesn't tie in with what Damien has said about there being two covers, unless Danny Boy was some sort of bonus track. If I had to bet I'd say this is wrong, or based on a very early draft.

I so hope you are right ODT!  and I don't like the cover at all!! it's pathetic that Sony can only do ONE photo shoot, then use those photos on his Single cover and now the Album cover! the only artwork I can see, is they had to choose what FONT to use!! I wonder how much they get paid to do that! |

I recall Damien saying in one of his interviews that he does have input into the artwork for his album cover etc. and there was some debate about this one. Wonder who had the final say?

Agreed Roxy, I don't think much of it either. I was hoping that there would have been a special photo shoot for the album cover and then we could have snagged admired all of the new pretteh. Just imagine having Damien to yourself for a day to take all the photos you wanted? No Roxy, not those kind of photos! |

I thought there might be another as he recently said in an interview that the album contained around 75% of his own songs. At least I think I'm remembering that correctly. So Cold, Cold Heart has to be a song of his own just named the same as Hank Williams' famous song (loads of people have covered this song, incl. Tony Bennett and Nora Jones). I will love to hear Danny Boy but not enough to have it replace another song of D's on this first album. That's not a big criticism though. And I'm sorry to say that I have never liked this photo of D. Too much the childish, unruffled look for my taste. I do like the other one that was taken at the same time though. I would prefer something completely different for the album cover too. I'm so looking forward to this album! Thanks Kami!  |
