While most of the Idols have had to find ways of coping without support of family and friends there's been one contestant who hasn't had it quite so tough.
"To be honest with you, I haven't stayed [at the Idol House] once this week," Sydneysider Damien Leith reveals, admitting he's spent every night at home with his wife, Eileen, and their baby, Jarvis.
Over the past few week, Damien says he's been missing his young family more and more. "Especially Jarvis," he adds, "because every time I go home, he seems to have developed a little more."
It's been these moments, Damien says, that have buoyed him after enduring the judges' criticism, and theh urge him forward.
But surely this emotional support could be seen as an unfair advantage? Damien knows he's got it good, especially since Chris Murphy's family - including his pregnant wife - are on the other side of the country.
"I try not to talk about it to the guys," he admits, "I feel for Chris. He must really be going through a lor right now."
