Irish girls are smiling The girls from the Irish Tourism Board are queuing up for the attention of Australia’s latest idol, Damien Leith. “He is so great for Ireland – such a nice guy and easy-going, we would love to involve him in our promotions,” Tourism Ireland manager for Australia, Monica Nerney said yesterday. “But I think we will have to get in line, he will be pretty tied up for the next few months anyway.” The girls from Tourism Ireland were among Damien’s top supporters in the crowd at the Sydney Opera House on Sunday. Decked out in rugby shirts and disco shamrocks, Sabina Branagan, Siobhan Kelly, Monica Nerney, Orla Saul, Mairead O'Leary and Kevin Kelly (pictured) also had their fifteen seconds of fame on national television when they recited a limerick they had penned for the event: “Damien the star of the show With touchdowns each week, you’re a pro Not a tic tac in sight, we tink you’re all right Our next Aussie idol we know.” 28 November 2006 www.travelweekly.com.au/articles/0c/0c04790c.asp

LOL FINALLY I know what in the heck they were on about when they recited that limerick at the Grand Final. I nearly wet myself laughing when they chanted it all out of time and in "tick" Irish accents (possibly effected by a guiness or two) and you couldnt understand a word they said. The host guy that was with them had a priceless look on his face when they finished.
Hahahah they were so cute!!!
Not a tic tac in sight!!! Bwahahahahaha
