The 12th Man album tops local chart

As predicted, the seventh album in The 12th Man series has gone straight to the top of the Motorola ARIA albums chart, like its six predecessors.

Boned!, the latest offering from funnyman Billy Birmingham, has been released to coincide with this year's Ashes series.

Its debut has knocked U2's greatest hits album U218 Singles off the top spot, but the Irish rockers held their ground at number two despite the release of fellow Irishman and Australian Idol-winner Damien Leith's The Winner's Journey which debuted at number three.

After just one week in the top ten Idol runner-up Anthony Callea's A New Chapter has plummeted to number 22 in this week's albums chart.

Another one-time Idol runner up Shannon Noll has teamed up with the Rogue Traders' Natalie Bassingthwaighte on Don't Give Up which has entered the Motorola ARIA singles chart at number seven.

And new mum Gwen Stefani is making her comeback on the music scene with Wind It Up which entered the top ten at eight.

They actually calculate it from Saturday to Friday - so no official day and not 4 unofficial days - less than 2!
