Idol smash hit in the mallDecember 11 2006 Source www.news.com.au/dailytelegraph/story/0,22049,20903545-5006002,00.html DAMIEN Leith used to be able to walk through a shopping centre unnoticed. That was six months ago. Yesterday, more than 1000 fans crammed into Warringah Mall's centre court to see the latest Australian Idol star-in-the-making. It was the 2006 series winner's first shopping- centre appearance, and he was treated to a rock-star reception. "What a lovely-looking crowd we've got here," Leith said, before launch-ing into his opening number, a version of the Chris Isaak hit Wicked Game. Leith finished the showcase with his No. 1 single Night of my Life, as a fittingly green G-string was thrown on the stage as a souvenir for the Irish charmer. Now that's an example of forward thinking. ________________________________ A green G-string? Okay, own up! Who was it?

Not green and I don't think that it was a g-string. The reporter seems to have tarted up the story. Oops. Upon close examination of photo with Tim holding the 'evidence' it looks like a g-string. ;D

Yes, but if you note on the video footage of the afrementioned article in flight....you can make out..er....leg holes! I would say bikini brief, in a tasteful shade of pale blue... obviously not tarty enough for the daily telegraph!

oooooooo...there were photeys with that story: We were just to the right - everyone standing next to us crammed into the photo. We should've jumped on him - then it would've been a picture of the five of us on the floor! You should've see how enthusiastically those two guys on either side of him threw their arms around him
