Found this short, but nice, article in S Magazine. Is it just me, or is David getting some publicity for himself as well, in a good way? Also, a kinda neutral cd review for TWJ. Obviously not a hard-core fanatic like us! Sorry it's so hard to read! Good to hear that he already has some hype over in Ireland

V. nice, Hyper. I wonder what reaction they've been getting from Ireland to warrant DC's comments.

Ooh, thanks for finding this. I like that first word, "brilliant" and it's great to hear that there's a lot of interest in Ireland for Damien at the moment. And I guess the review is fair - all reviewers have their own standards, and anyone who wasn't a fan and voted would probably pick up on the fact that it was all thrown together quite carelessly. Not a slight against Damien at all. As Damien said it's a 'keepsake', mainly meant to keep the current fans happy, and it's more than serving its purpose in that respect. I'm really interested now to see what kind of reviews his real album gathers.

He'll have a high expectation since he'll be the first Idol winner who gets more time and more liberty in recording his album. Let's all wish for the best!

He'll do a brilliant job - he's such a visionary that he will make sure it's something amazing that he himself would listen to...I hope they let him back from Ireland! Doesn't look like it will be much of a holiday though...

I got a message from Rick O'Shea, who is the dj in Ireland who did all those interviews with Damien right at the beginning and thru the competition (as well as his brother and dad) - to say that Damien will be on his show at the very beginning of January. Sounds like he is going tobe in Ireland for 3 weeks rather than the original two - presumably the last week will be full on promos (after he gets over jet lag!) Last time I flew to Ireland from Oz I felt SHOCKING for days.
