There is a big front page story in last week's Irish Echo, and now, we seem to have the technology - I've (kinda) worked out how to use the scanner *thanks* - check this and the later postings in this thread for copies of this

It asks me for some plug-in to view the article with - think I'll wait for the scan

It was a brilliant article...I buy the paper every fortnight especially since Damien was in Idol. Just goes to show what a lovely, sincere guy our Damo is!

By the way, Damo wrote an article on page 3....he is humility personified. Said that when he won, his first thoughts were of Jessica as he was worried she would be devastated. What else would we expect? After all, this is the same man whose first thoughts when he found out he made it into the top 24 instead of Corey, his first thoughts were of the other person, not for himself. Why can't there be more people in this world like him?

Yes!! That was during the very first time I heard of him and thought he sounded sweet consoling Corey. But I also know what he means about Jessica, because I actually felt that way too - it was a strange mixture of elation for Damien, and concern for Jess.
I wonder if I can buy a copy of the Echo down the road at the Celtic Club - I'm sure I've seen it floating around...

Dede I'm not able to post a copy but I think you can still buy it at the newsagents, it's worth getting one if you can get a chance.

I think it's distributed everywhere, but it's very Sydney-centric. Maybe try their website cloudwalker, they could let you know where they distribute to.

I finally gave up and bought a subscription.
Given the very long personal article from Damien "Far from idle after the night of my life" I am glad I did. He seems so sincere, and genuine.
