Best new singer Ann Peacock 103 words 31 December 2006 Sunday Herald Sun 1 - FIRST 76 English Copyright 2006 News Ltd. All Rights Reserved
I have always been a fan of Australian Idol, but I believe the latest season has launched a world-class champion in Damien Leith. From what I've seen and heard, he has a magical voice and seems to be a sincere, decent bloke. I am clearly not alone in thinking this way, either. It's not long been on the shelves, but already his album, Winners Journey, has gone platinum an unbelievably impressive four times. I am sure we will see a lot more of his undeniable talents in 2007.

Good on you, Ann Peacock. Classy bird. *have no idea what I meant by that - I think I was referring to her blue-bloodedness, but then again, money doesn't always buy taste, so I think I'm just full of rubbish... *

I've no idea who this person is, but from what I read I like her.

I'm pretty sure it's Andrew Peacock's (posh liberal politician) daughter - she's a socialite/ journo. She writes a few columns here and there...I'm hoping this is the one and the same or I feel like a bit of a dill. I like what she's written too!

Yes, Ann Peacock is the daughter of Andrew Peacock, former member for Kooyong, former on-and-off leader of the Liberal Party during the Hawke/Keating years and lately former Ambassador to Washington. Ann is married to Michael Kroger, who was once the President of the Victorian Branch of the Liberal Party. She is also the daughter of Lady Susan Renouf (who remarried twice after divorcing Andrew). Until I saw this little piece, I wasn't aware that Ann writes the occasional column, as she's always appeared to me to be a lady of leisure. But I like her taste in music!
