Oh this seems quite sad. The Milltown Inn is where Damien's family and friends threw the welcome back home party when he returned in December.: see www.kildaretoday.ie/ViewArticle2.aspx?SectionID=3804&ArticleID=1937874Milltown Inn closed, Eyre Powell damaged in other fire incidents03 January 2007 www.kildaretoday.ie/ViewArticle2.aspx?SectionID=3804&ArticleID=1954053Kildare Fire Service was also called on to attend two well-known public venues in the Newbridge area over the weekend, writes Conor McHugh. At 8.15 am on the morning of New Year's Eve, the Fire Services were alerted to a fire at the Milltown Inn. Owner Jimmy Dignam told the Leinster Leader that the front bar had been badly damaged with smoke, and that he had been forced to remain closed on the busiest night of the year. "I'll be closed for a few weeks anyway, although I don't know how long exactly. It's in a very bad way." Assessors have already visited the premises. Meanwhile, in the town of Newbridge itself, the Eyre Powell had to call on the Fire Services on New Year's Day. A spokesperson for the Fire Service revealed that a call came in at 4.05 in the afternoon. "A brigade from Newbridge and Naas attended. They arrived at just past 4.15 and found the basement was smoke logged." A spokesperson for the Eyre Powell told the Leinster Leader that there was no damage and that the premises was still open to the public.

Hopefully the damage can be fixed quickly. I don't like to think of anyone being out of business like that.

We know Damien is HAWT but that is taking it too far. I hope they are back in business in no time.
