Entertainment: Our Idol
Expat Irishman and Inner West resident Damien Leith took out the Australian Idol competition in late November. Since winning Idol, Mr Leith's star has climbed and climbed with his debut single "Night of My Life" shooting to number one in the first week it was released. His CD/DVD release, The Winner's Journey, also debuted at number three on the national album chart after just two days of sales. But the Stanmore resident's success is not only limited to Australia. His home country is also embracing him with "Night of My Life" receiving extensive airplay in Ireland - so much so that the single has been officially released there, too.
