Do you think it would be better to come first or second on idol? Just that most idol runner ups have done better than the winner. Although I suppose it all depends on which 2 are left. I think a lot voted for Casey thinking Anthony was gonna win. I just hope people don't slack off tomorrow night thinking Damiens safe. I remember Guy saying Shannon got a better deal cause he got all the prices for coming second and still got a record deal ;D Is there any prices for the runner up this year. They usually mention it by now don't they? I know they get a lot more on American idol. One of the winners got her own airplane  P.S. Damien if you win a plane can you please take me to Ireland  |

well first or second dont matter if you really want it you have to be comitted and work damn hard to stay at the top shannon noll is the hardest working guy i know thats why HE IS THE MOST SUCCESSFUL ARTIST TO COME OUT OF IDOL (that came from aria not just me)

the American idol gets a plane??? wow, their prizes are pretty sleek then The first or second debate is interesting. In some ways being 2nd is better because you get more time to put your album together and enough people have seen you who don't watch the show regularly to know your music. A lot of my friends think Anthony won idol, just because they aren't regulars and see a lot of him around and about. Then again, it's nice for the winner to have that glorious moment of actually winning. I can't say which is better, but I just hope it goes for Damo the way he wants it. |

Yeah, I'm not sure yet if winning is the best thing, especially if they have to do that album-in-a-minute thing  IF D got down to final 2, I think one of my main considerations would be the winners single. I certainly wouldnt want him lumbered with a crappy song that he'd be singing for the rest of his career! (sorry, but I really havent liked the winners singles - just too saccarin for my taste). If the song was ok, and HE liked it, then I'd vote him to win. Oh, and I'd really want him to have some of his own music on the album, its the only way these artists make any money. And if that was the case, I'd want him to have the time to do them properly. A lot of 'ifs', eh? Then again, it's nice for the winner to have that glorious moment of actually winning. I can't say which is better, but I just hope it goes for Damo the way he wants it. Agreed! I wonder, if the final 2 thing happens, is there a way of knowing what he wants? *massively unsubtle hint* |

I will be happy if Damo is in final 3, icing on cake if he wins, I think the winner will get more time to do the song & album this time, think they have learned (hopefully) from the past. Whatever, I just hope Damien can get signed pretty quick smart so we can grab hold of his voice for all time

I'm in two minds about Damien being on Idol. A big part of me wants Damien to win because he is in my opinion the best and most charismatic singer/performer, but I get worried because if he wins, or even comes second, maybe it will mean that he has to continue being part of the "machine" and record according to what the "marketeers" think will sell the most records. That is the number one objective of Idol, I have no doubt. If he gets voted off earlier will it give him a greater chance to use what exposure Idol has given him thus far, and record and perform in his own right? Hmmmm, speculation, speculation. At the end of the day, I'm happy Damien has got where he has thus far, and as long as Dean gets voted off, I really don't mind who wins at this point. |

Yeah I agree, if he wins he'll have to put out a lame cd, but at least it comes quicker. But if he doesn't then he'll get to make his own cd but it will take longer, so yeah

I personally don't think that D's voice will ever lend itself to the word "lame" so I'll be voting for him to win. As long as he sings that's good enough for me in the first instance. THEN, he'll put out what he wants again and again and again! What bliss!
