ahhhh..... I'm calm. I think I'm getting waaaaay toooo obesessssed with Idol, but the funny thing is, if I win... I'm not going, I'm gonna give the tickets to my nan and my mum! Maybe the winners won't be notified til Saturday! I think most people know what Damien will be singing, but you know what they say "Don't count your chickens before they hatch..." I hope I get tickets.... I think the quote was okay... my mum taught me it... and you know what they say about advice from mum, lol.

Oh Emmylu, darling, I'm sooo hoping you win those tickets. I feel your obsession and can relate to it far too well for someone of my years. Your mum and nan are very lucky to have someone like you who cares so much for them. It's obvious that someone like you are a Damien fan. Good luck hun. Cheers, Lozza

Hi guys,
Yes, the two songs are Hallelujah and Crying so the public voted well! However, it is only 2 mins per song so pretty short but I am sure he will nail them! He is thinking of playing the guitar with Hallelujah and no band and just singing Crying but doing Crying first and then Hallelujah as that is his favourite song! Can't wait.. Sorry, have been so slack - I love coming in here and reading all your lovely messages but sometimes hard to write back with our little live-wire Jarve!!

Thank you so much for confirming this...I'm not sure if you guys are aware, but D's choices for Sunday are possibly the most anticipated of the season so far! So many fans of other idols have been stating on the official forum and other idol forums that they dont care what anyone else does, as long as D does Hallelujah/ Crying. There hasnt yet been an excitement level like it. And I love the order and manner that you have indicated above... just perfect! Crying with the band first, then Hallelujah with the guitar last. Yes yes yes yes yes. I think people would really respond to this, as I believe when all these fans say they want to hear Hallelujah, they really want to see what D did at the Seymour Centre all those months ago! And if its his favourite, it will be the more powerful one. Love it. Thanks again!

Cheers, Lozza aww, thanks lozza.... it is so sweet of you to something like that! The reason I come on here is because its like a haven. I mean, you don't cop the abuse from people (sorry to stereotype.... but I've noticed its from a lot of the Dean fans... I don't mean to offend!), where-as, you come on here and people are more accepting of opinions.... Damien is very lucky to have you guys as fans! Even on the Damien fan club on Idol, there are people who come on the just to start fights. You come on here and no-one deliberately goes out of their way to offend anyone! Anyways, I've had my little rant for today. Thanks again Lozza, Ciao, Emmylu

Emmylu, I hate to be the one to break it to ya, but I think the winners have been notified.... I read on the Idol forums about a Chris fan winning and being contacted, and another winner being "shortlisted" and contacted by mobile phone. I think this happened yesterday. You know, if I had won, I think I would have given the tickets to you. You enthusiasm and story was really touching...I'm guessing you dont live in Sydney and cant go to a normal taping? Again, sorry for the not-so-positive news

yeah i know. I just found out on the Idol site then. Thats cool but. There still a few more weeks after this one. I've heard that tickets for the grand final are pretty easy to get, though. Anyways, good luck Damien!

thanks winterlong. If you won the tickets, then you should go. I live two hours from Sydney, so I still have the opportunity to go to another taping anyway. I'm a little disappointed. A quote I heard a few weeks ago is a classic example of this, lol... "when you have expectations, you will be disappointed each and every time." Thanks again winterlong, but I still wouldn't accept your tickets if you had won anyway. Ciao

I'm so sorry you didn't get those tickets, Emmylu. I hope you do get another opportunity later on, especially when you had such great intentions. I agree with you - these forums are a breath of fresh air. As a fan of all of the Idol finalists, I find it gets a bit hurtful to watch all the back-and-forth against this finalist or that on the official forums. Everyone is so respectful of others here and it really makes you feel more comfortable to express yourself. Okay. Back on topic for me. Hmm... two minutes per song isn't that long, but the Idol musicians are great at cutting songs down without destroying the essence of them, so it should be all right. I love the idea of Crying with the orchestra and Hallelujah with just guitar. What a great opportunity for Damien to show his versatility - there are a lot of singer-songwriters and a lot of big ballad singers, but he's going to show that he can do both! I'm even happy that Crying is probably going to be first, though I did want them the other way around - I love both songs, but we haven't even heard a little snippet of Damien singing Crying and I know I won't be able to wait to hear what it sounds like. We can all get the excitement of that out of the way and settle down to hear Hallelujah, which is a favourite of mine too. Yes. I think it's a wise choice on reflection. Can't wait for Sunday now!
