Not sure I remember. But I think that was the one where Kyle said he forgot about the "tic tac teeth" because he was engrossed in the song.

I have the video and at the end of Damien's performance Mark appears to get animated, so I assume he liked it and was curious what he said......?...maybe someone will know

Yeah I remember, he compared him to some other singer whose name I don't know.
I loved it after he sang Creep, Holden asked him if he had had singing lessons and he said no, and Holden looked blown away. That was cool! Go the natural talent!

I believe Mark was 'frustrated' when it came Damien - he said because this the year where Idol encouraged singer/songwriter. Hence he was frustrated as Damien could 'bloody win this thing'. I assume Holden thought Damien could only do covers, without realizing that Damien is actually a singer/songwriter.

Yeah... that was a weird comment in retrospect because Damien is the best singer-songwriter they've got! Then again, Mark is a repository of weird and not always entirely truthful comments...  |

I think he said something about you could just win this thing but it would kill me because we'd end up with the worst Val Doonican like idol ever. Damien raised his game with "Wicked Game".....and the Doonican googonomometer has been dumped....  |
