Hmm, honestly, I'm not so much a Paul fan (ducks flying bricks) I do like some keyboards for variety, but I'm really all about the geetaahhs!*siigh* I agree trilly - there is a bit of heavy handed keyboard /synth on WWL...but not sure if Mr G can be held personally responsible for that He seems to have the...errr... patience to put up with damienite antics musical skills and stage presence that really compliment D's ...

Definitely agree on both points, Morgs. He is quite the showman.

Darren on drums (that's right, he HAS to dance! ) Paul on keyboards. He's cool ;D Liam Finn on.... something. He can do bass, guitars, drums, among other things. Delta as guest female vocalist (although there might be a waiting list for that position ) I'm sure we can follow his around singing, like Delta's choir on Idol! We pretty much do that already! ;D Oh, I wanna add, I want Lior on guitar. His Autumn Flow guitar work is superb! Put Lior on acoustic and Liam Finn on electric... Damien can play his own guitar or bass, like he did on Who You Are. Otherwise, there is a musician named Gail-Ann Dorsey who could play bass and she does amazing vocals too, she could fill in Delta when she's busy, you can see her performing Under Pressure with David Bowie here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=aNGQor3dED8She sings Freddy Mercury's part. She's amazing! I know that line-up is pretty far-fetched (especially the Damienites' part ) but eh, what the hey? ;D

Is Paul the guy who played keyboards on the last tour? If that's who you mean, I'm not so keen on him either. Thought his keyboard riffs were a bit out of place and not in keeping with the rest of the band sound. He also hit a couple of bum notes. And, the keyboard was brought forward way too much in the mix a lot of the time.
Other than that his playing was fine ;D

looks like I'm one who likes keyboards to be a predominant part of the mix then - not always, but in the right songs ( I was thinking when played as piano more than otherwise, don't mind the synth sound on occasion but generally when I speak of keyboards I usually mean as a piano sound) I particularly enjoyed the delicate piano parts for "I Still Miss Us". I just wait for it to come in in that song to accompany Damien's voice, then float I off to heaven, it's so lovely. I loved the predominant keyboard mood in New "Beautiful" though I still love the Old rocky first tour version of "Beautiful" as well - I now think of them as 2 totally different songs. When I think of guitar in the tour (other than when played by Damien) I really loved the new much heavier guitar section in 22 Steps (it wasn't that way in Sydney in my memory at least, but by Mingara had evolved in an exciting direction for anyone familiar with it previously.) So that will mean I add John Bettison to the band too - and I also love the fact that Greg Royal plays double bass as well as electric bass (and his gorilla hands dance) - so looks like I am keeping all the band from the last tour then for my other keyboard choices I would also still vote for Paul (I like his presence with Damien too, not just his playing) & Eddie Raynor, & will also add Mike Garson, total legend - I got as excited to hear him play as to see Bowie on his last tour.

Because it sounds like there are wrong notes in that song too, about 1:30 into it I think.
