It may be a little early for this....but I'm wondering if any of you have any ideas on how to 'promote' Damien next week to increase his vote. All I can think of is myspace bulletins, posting on the idol forum and any other forums you go to as well as encouraging family and friends who like Damien to vote as well. Any other ideas?

Run around naked in the streets holding up a sign to vote for Damien! Or maybe put clothes on. Whatever you'd be more comfortable doing  Seriously though, just talk to people when you see them. Friends, family members. Or steal their phones and put votes in while they're in the bathroom or something. It's wrong, but Damien's worth it /end of useful ideas. |

I've done a bit of cheating to get Damien some extra votes. Like when my mum asked me to vote for someone last week, i chucked in some votes for Dammy and one vote for the contestant that she asked me to vote -___- (good thing she doesn't know how to vote using her mobile). She's gonna kill me when she finds out ^^;;;

Oops sorry Murf, it must just be a South Aussie word thing. They are steel and concrete poles to carry electricity and telephone lines.

Not that I hated Dean or anything, but maybe he was in the show for so long because heaps of mothers were saying to their daughters "use my phone and vote for that lovely Damien fellow would you love?". Something to ponder. |

Crushangel, I've also been thinking about this since last Sunday and I do have a suggestion. How does everyone feel about email stationery with pictures of Damien and one of his songs playing while you're reading the message in the email? I write scripts and design graphics for email stationery and would be more than happy to put a few together so that they can be sent around the country. We all know how fast communicating by email is and if the recipient can also hear Damien singing while looking at his pictures, it may sway them to vote a little more.
The email stationery I design is only suitable for Outlook Express 6.0 and if anyone is interested, let me know by PM and I'll send you a sample. Don't forget to include your email address.

Damien will be singing, "Never Meant To Fail" by Alex Lloyd and... a Ben Harper song I've forgotten the name of at the moment. As I mentioned in another thread (*waves to mods*), I think we should have a sticky here explaining why we should keep voting for Damien to get him to win, and debunking the whole 'second is better' myth. Or something on the fader at least. It'll only work on people who are already fans and happen to come here, but at least it's a way to get the word around. |
