It'll only work on people who are already fans and happen to come here, but at least it's a way to get the word around. We could also post about it at the official site, behindidol.com, and LJ.

i remember reading a while back that Marrickville Metro (in Sydney) was doing a promo vote for Damien because he and his family shopped there! The NT Government is backing Jess so... there is some serious competition there. Maybe the mods can contact the Metro and wherever he used to do gigs in Sydney.

Crushangel, I've also been thinking about this since last Sunday and I do have a suggestion. How does everyone feel about email stationery with pictures of Damien and one of his songs playing while you're reading the message in the email? I write scripts and design graphics for email stationery and would be more than happy to put a few together so that they can be sent around the country. We all know how fast communicating by email is and if the recipient can also hear Damien singing while looking at his pictures, it may sway them to vote a little more. The email stationery I design is only suitable for Outlook Express 6.0 and if anyone is interested, let me know by PM and I'll send you a sample. Don't forget to include your email address. I like the sound of this! We have a week between the 2 final shows to circulate it around..... I was going to produce some sigs and avs with the current voting numbers that people could use on other forums (if anyones like me and goes to non-Idol forums too). And am tinkering with an A4/A3 b/w phone numbers poster that can be printed and photocopied....not necessarily for vandalising the street (!), but for sticking on your car window, workplace bulletin board or anywhere else for that matter. I just need to wait till Sunday evening to get the current phoneline number, then I can finish them overnight ready for Monday morning....

Wow, you're so talented at this type of thing! Up until two years ago I couldn't even handle the simplest digital imagery, you're really in the know!

Damien will be singing, "Never Meant To Fail" by Alex Lloyd and... a Ben Harper song I've forgotten the name of at the moment. As I mentioned in another thread (*waves to mods*), I think we should have a sticky here explaining why we should keep voting for Damien to get him to win, and debunking the whole 'second is better' myth. Or something on the fader at least. It'll only work on people who are already fans and happen to come here, but at least it's a way to get the word around. Yeah I agree. A sticky encouraging voting is a good idea....I'm so sick of hearing crap about why Damien should come second....He wants to win and we should be doing everything we can to make that happen for him. The Ben Harper song is 'Waiting For An Angel'.

Yeah if possible that's a great idea......NT Goverment backing Jess sounds scary to me ARGH.

Brilliant stuff....will look forward to seeing your new sigs as the ones you use are always so gorgeous hehe.
