My mother tells me that Damien is going to be on that show that usurped Bert Newton's timeslot *ahem* I mean 9AM tomorrow. At some time after 9AM, I guess. Oh, Damien, you keep us up late and then get us out early. And we all love it.  |

The Show is called "9am with David and Kim" ie David Reyne, brother of James Reyne from Australian Crawl, and Kim Watkins.

I can't believe I stayed up until 12.30 last night to watch Damo get asked two questions on the John Foreman show and now I'm back on the hunt this morning for anything I can get my eyes/ears on before Sunday...I need my old hobbies back - at least I got a bit of fresh air and sleep then.

That interview kind of annoyed me actually. That comment about the psychic picking Jess to win was really unnecessary. Jess looked so embarrassed to have to respond to that comment with Damien standing right next to her, and Damien didn't really know where to look.
It was nice to hear David assuming that both of them will be getting record contracts and releasing CDs, and also nice that James pointed out the winner's album is not going to be a rush job this year. That really needed to be clarified with so many people not realising it.

I was a bit put off with that comment too. James tried saying Jess looked to be the winner on Rove simply because of where she was standing in a photo, and now some psychic is saying it too. Hopefully Jess fans get complacent now and stop voting with the assumption everyone else is |

This is what is annoying me at the moment with the opinions flying around - people are saying Damien should win because he's a brilliant musician, has a standout voice, writes his own songs, his music appeals to a wide audience, and they're saying Jess should win because of ridiculous omens like her place in a photograph, the fairytale aspect of it all, her age and so on. Shouldn't her talent be mentioned first? She has a brilliant voice, a lovely nature and, to her credit, she really seems to be growing up and handling some of the stupid things said to her beautifully, but are people voting for her because she has qualities that could make her a star, or because they think it would be lovely for a cute young girl to win? I don't know because I haven't really talked to many Jess fans, but I really do hope that the people voting for her are doing it because they think she's the best musically.

Kami I agree with what you said, except I do still get irritated watching Jess in an interview. She giggles too much and continuously says "You know.. ooh I don't know.. yeah!" It's very annoying and not something I want to hear too much. Damien is a brilliant speaker and an awesome singer. Damien must win. LOL
