It just occurred to me, what part of the appeal of Damien the magnificent is. Yes, there's the voice of an angel, the beautiful eyes.. but there's something more. The fact he absolutely adores (not just loves) his wife, the connection he has with his son, his wit, his charm. Maybe it's because in this day and age, we all just need to be reminded of the positive sides of life and how breathtakingly wonderful life can be and Damien does that. We are inundated with news of war, depravity, callousness, hunger, poverty, selfishness..we live in a society that encourages self-centredness...which can result in feelings of guilt and despair. So, when someone comes along that lifts our spirits, shows such an enthusiasm for life, what he does etc, and in essence romances us (not literally of course)- let's us 'escape' for a bit...well I have to say that is darn sexy!

*nods her head* I totally agree with you there. It is so nice to see such a positive role model out there and not some wannabe narcissistic rock star just out there for an ego boost. Damo is like a breath of fresh air, always has a smile on his face, a great sense of humour, he's such an uplifting guy and has such good family values. Now what could be more appealing than that?

Apart from being a sexy little cutie pie, I think his main beauty comes from within, he just oozes humility, charm, charisma & happiness. not to mention the fact he is a wonderful singer/artist/musician, what more could you ask for in a man.

Apart from his angelic voice, I think his sincerity and humility are what captivate me the most - he remains true to himself and will not let the fame/criticism get to him. Also, I love how he can express the feelings and emotions of the songs he's singing (not many Idol contestants - or other singers- can do that since they are too stuck in technical perfection). So yeah... that's why I often get emotional whenever he sings.

Quite right, you said it perfectly, you're a genius! It's not such much sexiness, though it is that as well...it's his precociousness, his sense of humour, combined with his gratiousness and politeness. He has such dedication to the ones he loves, and what he believes in...it's a return of romance, a return of the true gentleman, crossed with the larrikan lad and the soul of the poet.
Perhaps that was overly-dramatic...I'm rather man-starved...

Lol - shims those rankings came with the site - like a preset lol - we can change them ... so far god is the highest - mabye me and murf should make up another ranking lol maybe one like : obsessed-like-winter ... hehe
