For all of you night owls out there, don't forget that Damien is on John Foreman's The Big Night In at 11:15pm on Channel 10. Even though Damien doesn't appear until near the end of the show I'm still going to sit and watch it all, even with all of that adult bizzy that John bores us with. LOL.

Ooh good. That's not for another hour though here. I'm not sure I'll watch the whole show though if he's only on at the end.

Great show. Nice to see the Whitlams and Patrizio as well - two of my favourites - but even better to see the few minutes of Jess and Damien at the end. And glimpses of Chris and Ricky in the audience being generally rowdy. Both Jess and Damien seemed quite... hyper. Although I think I would be if I were in their position too... Not going to say anything about some of the... other stuff on there, except that when they were bringing out those guys in weird costumes I did have a fleeting thought that they would have all been outclassed if Damien had come out in his pirate gear. ;D

I've put the transcript (with observations) on a separate thread - check it out.

I agree Kami, the Whitlams and Patrizio were great and other then seeing of few minutes of Damien, the rest of the show was crap! Don't get me wrong, I love John Foreman to bits but what the hell is he doing? I wish that Channel 10 would give John a prime time slot so that he didn't have to rely on sleazy sponsors to keep his show alive. Get rid of the whole 'sexy single' thingy, those people just creep me out, blaaahh, yuk! I would love to see John host a prime time show where he showcases great musical talent with a bit of comedy thrown in. He is a class act and a great musician and Channel 10 should have woken up to that fact by now.
Matthew Newton was carrying on like a gay boy on heat! The first two minutes of John and Matthew interacting was funny but after that, nup! I don't really care what Matthew's sexual preferences are (or John's for that matter) but I don't want to be witness to it. Hey, I'm no prude but it was becoming a tad sickening after a while. I noticed when the 'sexy single' people came out there were four women dressed in skimpy outfits standing to the right of Matthew but once the costumed blokes came out he only had eyes for them.
OK, I've had my rant, can't say that I feel better but I've said what I wanted to say. If John Foreman had devoted the major part of his show to Damien and Jess in the lead up to the Idol Grand Final, without subjecting us to the rest of the crap on the show, his ratings would more than likely have tripled!

I so agree, the show is not at the level I thought it should have been. A little dissspointing if you ask me. But Damien and Jess were a sight for sore eyes. Yeah did they eat too much sugar or something as both of them had the cheesiest grins and were a little hyperactive even. But if I was in their situation I think I'd be the same.

Gotta agree there wasn't enough Damien!!!
I thought John Foreman would have done a much better show but most of that show wasn't even worth watching.
What's happening to Australian Tv? Most of it's just rubbish. A lot of the good Oz shows have been taken off and replaced with US shows that are all basically the same or talk shows that show stuff no one really wants to know about. I think if he was on a better time slot he might get some better material cause anything's better than what he's doing at the moment.
Damien and Jess seemed very happy though, although I think Jess relied on Damien too much to answer the questions. She kept on looking at him hoping he'd jump in and wasn't really sure how to answer. She's going to have to do a lot more talking and say more meaningful things if she wants to be in the music industry. I heard her say somewhere she's shy but she went into this comp knowing there would be lots of interviews. She's not always going to have the other idols to help her out once she's on her own. The judges gave Casey a hard time about this yet never seem to mention it to Jess and look where Casey is now. I have nothing against either of them, I hear Casey is working on a new album. Good on em both for trying but I think someone should win that can handle themselves in an interview and with the pressure of the media. But I don't think a lot of 16-17 year olds would be able to handle that. Even some of the older idols didn't take it good.
Even Anthony was taken to hospital for stress when he was on the show yet seems as though he can handle himself so it would be difficult for anyone.
