Congratulations dededom on those tickets. I/we all would love to know how you got those tickets. I think a suit would look great too. I have already got my dip and bickies and chips for my little Idol party. If, for some reason you can't make it give me a message and I'll a come a running!

Thinking about what people wear to a rock concert, if that's the dress code - the last one I went to (U2) most of the girls were still pretty dolled up, in nice evening tops and stylish pants or jeans, definitely not casual. Guys seem to have more trouble figuring out what comprises well dressed casual sometimes I think, they can often look like they're rocking up to the neighbour's barbie! So then you have the situation I've seen a lot lately where the girls look overdressed for the guys. That all said, the actual band was dressed up in their performance outfits and looked fab! Bono wore black pants and jacket with red lining, really eyecatching. I can't imagine Jess or Damien turning up in something super casual, I think everyone will be making a big effort that whatever they wear, it will be suitable for the occasion

Not much there, just Angela Bishop and Guy Sebastion with 6,000 people - I think I saw Paulini in the background - outside the opera house. They had shots of Damien & Jess practicing - he had his rehersal shirt on, the pink one. Think they'll show any more?

Actually, they had better stuff at the beginning of the news when they were announcing what was going to be on - we actually heard Damien singing his rehearsal then and they also continued his singing over the rest of the headlines. I get annoyed when past idols chew up the airtime of the new idols as happened in the actual story.
Oh, and by the way - Guy - when you're speaking on tv, maybe ditch the chewing gum!

At the very end of the news they showed all the idols rehearsing their group song - "The Age of Reason"

Ooh, I like Age of Reason... could have sworn they've already done it before at an Idol finale, but my memory sucks so it's probably just wishful thinking on my part.
