I'd Like Damien to Win!

I thought Dan England was the best from Idol 3 and Lee Harding next best. And I agrre about Damien standing out. And his stuff like Nessum Dorma so proved that.

Dan and Lee both seem to be doing all right for themselves at the moment, so there might be something in that. I liked both of them.

Yes, I like Nessun Dorma as an example because Damien has pretty much gone and done that and blown all our assumptions of his singing capabilities out of the water, and is then going to go back to his usual... um, un-"boy diva" style for the rest of the competition. I like a man who would try opera just to show he can and then do what is usually suicide on an Idol show and go for more subdued songs. That's an artist. That's someone people would pay to see.

I'd like him to win because

a) He wants to win
b) He's the best of the 2 *just my opinion*
c) He's Irish ;D
d) He's got the experience to make it work and he's just damn good
e) He makes idol worth watching and will change the whole idol perception
f) Hearing the winner of Aust idol 06 is DAMIEN LEITH will make me so happy and D, hearing the winner of Aust idol 06 is Jess Mauboy will make me wonder why I watch the show (yes she's good but nothing different)
g) We'll all be able to get his album sooner ;D

As I've said I want him to win because he wants it, and what Damien wants he gets, if I can help it LOL!Aso, he just plain deserves the glory for his outstanding achievements over the series.He'll be a fantastic Idol, mature and grounded, Eils and Jarvis will keep him balanced ...and we get to cheer and celebrate, long and loud!

I also want Damien to win because of everything you have all said..but I'll do my own list anyway

1 he has true talent
2 his falsetto sends tingles up and down my spine
3 I love his original songs
4 he wants to win, so I want him to win
5 he is the best out of the 2 remaining
6 he has a beautiful soul (as seen thru his music)
7 he is hawt, seriously Dean is nothing compared to Mr D
8 I have enjoyed his performances the most
9 he has worked hard, and deserves to win
10 he is Irish
11 he is hawt (again)
12 Damien Australian Idol 06 winner, has a beautiful ring to it.

Wow, Kris, you like Dan Spillane too! I think he was so great and could have gone further last year if he'd managed to get over his nerves (and, more to the point, if certain judges hadn't been a little against him... ahem...).

Anyway... on topic, we don't have a working video recorder in the house any more but I thought about taping the announcement part of the GF on our digital camera... then realised I'd probably also capture my anxious pacing and banshee yell of jubilation if he won. So I'll just have to keep the moment in my memory, which is probably safer.

Oh - I have this program called Niro - it's like a tv only a few seconds behind the normal on - its really clear and stuff and yea.
