How many times have you all replayed the winners announcement from Sunday? LOL I've lost count.  I still get tears every single time but with a big cheesy grin on my face. heh HUGS to all the Damienites! |

I like seeing the judges reactions when they cut away to them too. They seem so genuinely pleased. Mark 'Mr. Whippy' Holden is positively beaming at anything Damien for the entire night. Even Kyle seemed happy and well it was no secret that Damien was Marcia's favourite. Stark contrast for anyone who remembers Marcia's 'look of death' after the announcement last year!

ooooow, LOTS! The look on his face is priceless!..just about as wonderful as the look of pure joy when the sparklies came down..(see photo!)...and the way he couldn't stop hugging Jess...god I love this man!!
Doh!! Just realised I said exactly what winter said in her captions..really must stop doing that..LOL!

OMG yes...he looked so happy and overwhelmed, it was so cute....you could tell how happy he was though...and did anyone else think all of damien's outfits were hot the other night? luvin the suit-n-hoodie, and black is so his colour  |

Yeah, so I replayed it a few times.  Hands down the best Idol winner's reaction ever. But heck, his reactions from the whole night were awesome. I've never seen anyone so blown away by a few thousand screaming people and... oh, a prestigous stage with your name on it.  Makes me really wish they would release a DVD of the whole Grand Final, or at least put the bits with Damien going up the steps and everything on the Winner's Journey one. |

I've played it only twice but I'm sure it'll be on the dvd. His reaction was priceless but I felt sorry for him too. He didn't know what to do or say and sounded like he was about to cry or passout  He looked like he needed Eileen to go down there and give him a big hug ;D |

I fess up, haven't stopped reliving it in my head or on my video. Just speaking to my mum on the phone (she does NOT watch Idol ever!!) and she was telling me how she and the next door neighbours and her friends had a D party on GF night and were cheering for him! I guess that just shows you never really know your mum! We had a 10 minute conversation about D (never thought that would happen) and she is buying me the DVD for Xmas!!!! His appeal is so widespread!

Ok lets just clearly establish that my tape - its going to be ruined .... I can clearly memerise EVERYTHING that was said, you tube probly loves me by now and ive recorded it onto my MP3 player JUST to relive it at school!
Now what does that roughly add up to!?

I haven't replayed my video yet, but tomorrow afternoon I will be. Now Neski I'm going to have to get a lesson in downloading it to an MP3 player. Do you think it's okay for me to con my son into lending me his MP3 player permanently lol. Okay, I'll buy my own :-) (I'm good at talking to myself tonight).
That's so cute irishrokit about D looking like he needed Eileen to go on stage. I'll have to agree with you on that one. I've never seen a winner look so genuinely surprised and grateful for winning. D is just the best - but I don't have to tell anyone here that lol.
It's great also to hear how excited he is now making his first video. Now I can't wait to see it.

Anyways - Yes Belinda I think you could POSSIBLY con him into ;lending; you it, other wise do it the old fashion way and borrow with out asking and if it comes up drop it and run away like mad! ;D

Well - I had to record the show for the kids. I played the last 20 mins for them after breakfast yesterday..... today I needed to find something on the tape.... so well y'know and tomorrow the kids will be able to watch the whole show after swimming lessons - I guess I'll just have to watch it with them won't I?
