Hi guys, hope your weekend is a good one!!I am not rehashing an old and frustrating subject but it really s#### me that as i was reading through the reviews (which most were good and objective )on itunes of Damien's new single there are still some little zealous minded people going on about such and such should have won idol and Damien's not Australian etc etc.I have no problem with people having an opinion, thats there right ,but what has this to do with a review of the song.Certain remarks were even having a go at his personality. So on the itunes review site they have a section were you can express a concern about reviews made and i had to say something .Since when has a persons looks, personality, what competition they won got to do with a review of a song!!!!!!!! I am not trying to start a situation that happened on the Australian idol blog(were there were a lot of nasty things said) but no matter who the person is THE REVIEW SHOULD BE OF THE SONG NOT THE PERSON. Thx heaps Blueyes!!!
p.s Damien sang live on radio last night he sounded awesome !!!1

yeah, I was really dissapointed in some of those reviews... I dont mind if people dont like the song, or dont like his performance...everybody's got an opinion, and not everyone likes the same thing. But the Australian citizen thing...agreed...not a basis for a review on a music site IMO. Oh...and the personality review? LMAO, can the grapes get any more sour? Unfortunately D is going to have to endure a bit of this...Idol haters, Tall Poppy syndrome and disgruntled fans of other Idols Luckily, he has a huge number of people who love him and what he does

Yeah, I agree... I also don't mind people saying if they honestly don't like it and giving fair reasons, because I accept that not everyone will like Damien's music the way I do, but comparing his version of the single to Jess's or commenting that he's not Australian (Ha! Because sour grapes is such an Australian trait!) or whining because he was on Idol - those comments are not about the music and reflect the ignorance of the self-styled 'reviewer'.
I think there was only one review on iTunes where someone said something negative about the single that actually sounded like a fair opinion. Other people either loved it or were behaving like immature twits. Thank God the kind of people who like Damien's music are too smart to be fooled by the tantrums of immature twits!

I made a pledge to shun these childish remarks, I'm so over them. These people really ought to get a life. It's not as if they've made Damien Prime Minister of Australia or anything (even though that would be preferable!) And he didn't keep it a bloody secret - if no-one wanted an Irishman to win they had 11 chances to vote for someone else!

I can't believe people are still going on about this stuff. He won, end of story and get over it. I think what they really hate is the fact that he's doing so well already. Personal attacks are just not on at a song review site, but it only makes the posters look like the immature, shallow fools that they are.
