Yeah, true about the singles being late. The last thing I want is the media bagging him for having low sales like previous winners (which I doubt) due to late stock. That being said, I cannot help but being nervous

Yeah, that's what worries me. And they're already just waiting to say those things. Did any of you guys see the Idol segment on Today Tonight (I know, who watches that crap? I only watched it for the pretty footage of Damien and other Idols  ) where they were all, 'Idol creates TV stars, not music stars' and 'The charts are rigged'? It was spectacularly well-researched, as TT segments tend to be. They pronounced Kate DeAraugo's last name wrongly and rather amusingly referred to Anthony Callea's record-breaking single, "My Prayer". It was pretty much a clone of the Idol story they've run every year since Casey won, only with new Idols added. And all-new glaring errors! They make me laugh. ;D I think Damien is going to do really well as far as sales go, although nothing short of him breaking Anthony's record could shut some people up, and probably not even that. I really think I will be going into Big W and nagging them if I don't see the single out. The problem with so many non-dedicated music stores being the ARIA-accredited ones is that they really don't care even if they have the boxes ready to unpack. |

I've just read on the official forum that the downloads do count towards the charts but it's not real clear on when they count. If it was yesterday or tomorrow? I noticed all those errors in the TT story. They really need to research better and get better material. They go on like it's new info when everyone knew about the album sales being what the stores buy ages ago. And poor Naomi left  boohoo. She sounds like everything she says is from a script even when she was trying to be emotional. Those aca shows are getting really pathetic but especially TT. They run down shows on every other channel and have even started on their own channel  |

I want to have it on my iTunes and had asked on the official forum whether you can use the download on iTunes but no-one answered me. I guess you cannot. What's the point having music just from your computer or phone?  ? Well, I'll stick to old-fashioned buying CDs!! |

*slaps forehead* Wish I'd read this before I tried to download from Bigpond..grrrr..got so angry..now it isn't even accepting credit cards!! made some noise,..excuses given about major upgrades to site blah blah blah...Into town to buy CD for me pronto!!!!

Well I'm glad I put this post up so no one else hopefully bothers to use bigpond. I just wish someone else had put it up before I handed over my money  You can burn them to cd then maybe you can play them in itunes. I don't see the point though now since I'll go buy the cd in the shop and then I can play it in whatever I want. I don't see why there's so many copyright restrictions on there downloads. If you buy the cd you can burn it as many times as you like and give it to people (better to buy them their own copy though) and your paying for the download it's not like they gave it away for free. I'm still annoyed they charged me for a track that Damo was giving away for free only a week ago  Anyway I hope lots of people read this so they don't have to go through the same trouble. Now the cd's out though just buy it in the shops  |

I finally got my on-line sale to go through as I won't be able to buy a hard copy version for at least a week or two. Then I couldn't get the bloody licence to work and ended up having to call Pigpond...He said the system is being upgraded at the moment and asked what song I had purchased so he could resend the licence. "Night of my Life by Damien Leith" I said...
"OK, Night of my Life by Jamie and who?" was his reply....
I couldn't help but laugh. Looks like we've got some more work to do with regards to getting Damo's name out there!

I downloaded from JB Hi Fi today into Real Player and it all worked OK although only after a few "reissue licence" clicks that stuffed around.
The Come to Me track is exactly the same as the one on my space, which means it must be one Damien recorded himself and uploaded to myspace.
Which leads to the question - who do you think is the backing vocalist in the latter part of the song - not sure it is Damien, wonder if it is someone known? I haven't bought the CD yet so presumably it says something on the sleeve giving credit?

Has anyone else tried to download the songs from bigpond? It gladly takes my money but won't download the stupid license so the songs are useless. Plus you can only play them on the computer that they are downloaded too. They have so many restrictions on them it's not funny. I will be buying the cd single as well but was hoping to hear it last night. I've tried again today and it still won't get the license Is this because it is officially released tomorrow and bigpond doesn't yet even have the rights to sell the song? Not happy. I would never use bigpond music ever again. Why say on idol go to the website and download it straight away if you can't? And especially if it doesn't count towards the charts. OMG same thing happened to me..........I paid twice cos the first time I couldn't get it to work and it wouldn't work the second time either lmao...I spent half of Sunday night trying to get those songs. I would never use bigpond music again either, absolute joke!!!!! I was going to buy the single at the shops anyway but just wanted to get it on Sunday night to listen to it...but now I'll just get it next time I'm in town. TELSTRA SUCKS. SONY SUCKS.
