OMG I am deliriously happy for Damien! That's awesome news! Congratulations and well done Damien. Of course none of us here ever doubted this outcome but it's even more spectacular than we could have imagined. I'll be going to the Martin Place signing as I live only a 10 minute walk away from there YIPPEE!!! I'll do my best to get photos and post them here if possible. I hope they publish pics of him recieving the gold record. OMG we need to see that! |

I would have loved to see the look on his face as he got his gold plaque. I can just picture it. Absolutely brilliant. I think it would have been similar to when Andrew said the winner of australian idol is Damien Leith!!! Similar but maybe not quite as long or as speechless That's awsome if that's in sales. And I havn't even bought my copy yet, although I did eventually manage to download it so hopefully that's counted ;D |

And I havn't even bought my copy yet, although I did eventually manage to download it so hopefully that's counted ;D According to the official site it's "certified for Gold sales" which is a figure of the stock that's been sold to retailers, so yeah as has been mentioned, not an accurate indicator of how it's going. The Aria charts next week will be the better indicator, which will also take into account all the downloads (which apparently outstrip hard-copy sales these days!) ^ but don't quote me on any of that! |

Well while we might have to wait a few more days for the Aria charts, a quick visit to the Sanity website shows that Damo's blitzing them in the ringtone department. Ahahahahahah... hey it's a start right?

Gold/Platinum is always the number shipped. But record companies downt want returns. It's bad for business so that many shipped is a great sign. A No.1 is looking very possible.

Lol I just figured last night that it's in Blacktown. man I feel so embarassed because I already SQUUEEEED and totally told my friend in Bankstown that I'd come over there ^^;;;. I'll still come there though.... even though it will take a further 45 minutes trip. I'm sure it will be worth it |
