OK...this is very New Idea (posted it 'elsewhere' and got no reply...I think everyone thought I was joking...lol!)
Genuine question with genuine concern for how E is holding up whilst hubby is off being a (wonderful) STAR...
Just wondering does anyone know if Eils is from Sydney (ie has family here)? I really feel for her being the one stuck at home with a 14 month old while Dad is off galavanting about...! D referred to getting J back in a sleeping pattern. I can just imagine the poor little one's schedule is all over the place with visit from o/s grandparents & all the excitement. Still - he'll be one proud bubba when he's old enough to realise what's happened! Anyway...hope Eils has some extended family support here...(hey...I'll volunteer to babysit...lol!)

Good question Morgaine. Be careful what you wish for.... BTW I'm sure that we'd all volunteer to babysit. LOL. I remember reading one of Damien's interviews where he said that he would take them with him when he tours. Hopefully, things will slow down soon as he gets down to the serious business of recording the album with only the odd promotion. Of course, once the album comes out it will start all over again.

You are right. Often the person left behind misses out on the support. I am sure she is going Ok though because Damien is home a lot more now that he is 'out of the house'

I'm sure Eileen's family are around and helping when and how they can. Damien's been home every night except once since he won AI so he's helping when he can too, I'm sure. It'd be better for them now than what it was when he was doing Idol, so now they're probably working it just like they did when he worked as a chemist. This is all assumption of course, but I doubt I'm wrong. LOL

He doesn't start making the album til January so he's going to have a couple of weeks holiday. I heard him say that in an interview sometimes

Actually...now I think about it...it'd be easier with D is "star-mode" than "chemist-mode" when I guess he would have done the ol' 9-5 commute...
Ok...enough about the Leith's private life...lol!

On Damien's official site there's a link to a lovely interwiew with Damien and he talks about his family being priority and being there for them. He is very conscious of keeping them all together even when on the road.

I really loved the fact that when Eileen joined the board she was made so welcome because it had worried me too to think of her with all the changes going on - it also would have been a massive upheaval to their lives! We were thrilled to see her here! We all support them both and I'm so proud of the board for that.

Well, after all, if Damien had never met Eileen and she hadn't been so wonderfully supportive of his dream, he would never have found his way on Australian Idol. So I for one am grateful to her, and I really hope what's come out of Idol brings her and Jarvis peace and happiness too. And I'm sure the rest of you feel exactly the same way. And I'm glad to be among fans who do feel that way. *hugs everyone*

Great question, I wonder how Eileen is holding up. She must be a very strong hearted woman. I hope both of them enjoy the journey ahead and retain their strong faith in what they have when the ride starts going crazy. I am sure Jarvis will grow up a very happy little darling, because he is obviously loved very much and no amount of fame will ever detract from that. I hope they have friends and family around them to be there when they need it the most too! x
