Does Damien have more promo appearances in other parts of the country this week? Or, are he, Eileen and Jarvis getting some quality time for themselves over Christmas, before Damo starts recording the debut CD?

Not cheesy at all! On the Sydney Carols site it says Guy and the Young Divas will be there...I think Guy was at Sydney when he made Idol but the "traditionl is that the Idol sings at the Melbourne carols (which I LOVE watching btw...) I guess folk in other parts of the country would like a peek at The Man but....I'm sure he'd like some downtime too...ahh...the demands of celebrity...lol!

He said on Sunrise that he will have a couple of weeks off over Christmas, but I really hope he does Melb carols, they are so good I remember Anthony Callea sang the prayer just after idol that he should have won.

There is nothing on the Melbourne Carols by Candlelight site that explains the lineup. But since it is on Xmas Eve, and Damien has said he is going to Ireland for Xmas, I doubt he will be there. To check it out: see www.visionaustralia.org.au/info.aspx?page=1220

Yes I think the report said that Damien had booked the family's flight back in March for Ireland and that he'd like to keep the booking to go and see all the family for Christmas.
So looks like we'll have to wait til next year's Carols by Candlelight to hear Damien sing "Silent Night"
*sigh - tooooo loverley to even imagine*

I bet he wasn't expecting his family to go making trips here before the end of the year when he booked the flights back in March though, huh! It makes you wonder what's in store for each of us over the next 12 months because nothing can be predicted.
