"On Tuesday 17th October 2006, Irelands Australia Idol contestant Damien Leith received a surprise good luck gift from the team at Tourism Ireland. Damien was delighted with the huge Taste Ireland hamper full of all his favourite Irish goodies. (pictured left)
Damien is now down to the last seven with a genuine chance of reaching the last two contestants. The final two perform live at Sydney Opera House, were the overall winner is announced. The winner is decided by the general public - so if you want to vote for Damien simply text 'Damien' to 191010 between 8.30pm Sunday and 7.30pm Monday."
