Pretty amazing that the album got to number 3 considering that it was on sale on THURSDAY and he had only 2 days to take up the charts. Fantastic news! Hopefully it's No 1 next week, after a full week or so of release. Interesting: even after only 3 days, Damien has done better in his first week on the album chart than Kate DeRaugo last year(and she had a full 7 days of CD sales to count).

#3 is fantastic given his competition and how long he had to sell them! I think he should be #2 though - I don't mind him being behind U2 because, well, they're awesome, but WTF is with the #1 album?

Hopefully that 12th Man crap is a one week wonder, and quickly sinks from No 1. It'll probably only be Cricket nuts and teenage boys who bought it. A couple of additional facts: "The Winner's Journey" has already been awarded a Platium certification(no doubt on orders to stores). And....."Night Of My Life" moved to No 1 on the Digital Tracks Sales chart. Terrific!

Pretty amazing that the album got to number 3 considering that it was on sale on THURSDAY and he had only 2 days to take up the charts. And on top of that every song from idol was previously available as a free download so its quite amazing that so many people bought the CD so quick. Amazing in a good way, thankfully.

Anyway, the 12th Man isn't music and therefore to only be beaten by U2! OMG, what an honour, no one could ever be less than thrilled about that

Yeah - I wonder if Damien will get a kick out of seeing his name alongside U2's?

Yeah - I wonder if Damien will get a kick out of seeing his name alongside U2's? I don't think in his wildest dreams Damien could have imagined a month ago he'd be next to U2 in #3 on the Australian charts - OMG the thrill of it!!
