NOML holds at No 21 on the singles chart, despite one big FM radio station in Sydney dropping it from the playlist. Hopefully, TWJ stays in the Top 5.

Top 3 still, thats fantastic news, especially considering there was a new entry into #2 spot! TWJ hasnt been out of top 3 since release....thats really impressive! And nice to see NOML stabilise at #21...normally they sprint down the charts when they pass top 20

The single and album have had such a great run. More than I expected. Out of interest, does anyone have statistics on how other Idols' singles have progressed down the charts? Particularly Shannon Noll, since I think he's closest in terms of fanbase and appeal to Damien.

Not as far as I'm concerned ! Damien is my favourite Idol by a very big margin, while SN is just about my least favourite (top 12) idol. Anyway, each to his/her own. I'd be interested in any comparison stats too.[/color]

Damien has mentioned that he'd like to emulate certain aspects of the way Shannon has gone about furthering his career. Just to clarify that I wasn't comparing Damien and Shannon as artists and my comments were in no way meant to reflect my opinion or anyone else's. Although Kami does think that Shannon is pretty rad. Shannon is the accepted most successful Idol, career/money-wise, and Damien, with many of the same qualities, is (so far) looking to be the next big success story. I think it'll be great fun to see how their performance on the charts compares. Musically speaking... well, Damien is Damien and I think that's about as far as anyone will get with an accurate comparison. ;D

UPDATE
Have received the weekly ARIA REPORT ...
Very interesting reading this week.
TWJ holds steady at No. 3 nationally, after 9 weeks in the charts.
But on a state by state basis, the album has actually GONE UP the charts in NSW - perhaps on the back of the Australia Day gigs/TV coverage?
NSW up to #3 from #4 Vic/Tas down to #4 from #3 QLD - down to #5 from #3 SA - down to #3 from #2 WA - down to #3 from #2
Norah Jones entered at #1 in NSW (beating back Snow Patrol), and #2 in all other States behind Snow Patrol. P!nk dropped from #2 last week in NSW, Vic/Tas and Qld to #4, #5 and #3 respectively this week.

Damien's appearance last week on the Kyle/Jackie O show on 2DAYFM might have helped sales in Sydney/N.S.W?
