'CATCH THE WIND: SONGS OF A GENERATION' TRACKLISTING: Available 26th April 08
Pre-Order Damien's New Album 'Catch The Wind'! 02.04.08 'Catch The Wind: Songs Of A Generation' is Damien Leith's timely new album of 18 classics from the 1960s and 1970s interpreted with his own amazing vocal style. Songs such as "Only Love Can Break Your Heart" by Neil Young and "Wild World" by Cat Stevens have inspired Damien from a young age, and now you can be one of the first to own his version of these celebrated tunes by pre-ordering 'Catch The Wind' before it hits stores on April 26.
"The great songwriters of the 60s and 70s have always been a major influence on my own original material. In many ways the songs of that generation are as relevant today as they were back then. I've chosen songs that either mean a great deal to me on a personal level or those that I'd just love people to hear."
1. Catch the Wind (Donovan) 2. Annie's Song (John Denver) 3. Wild World (Cat Stevens) 4. If (David Gates) 5. The Times They Are a Changing (Bob Dylan) 6. Father & Son (Cat Stevens) 7. Starry Starry Night (Vincent) (Don McLean) 8. Everybody's Talking (Harry Nilsson) 9. Universal Soldier (Buffy Saint Marie) 10. Guitar Man (David Gates) 11. Baby I Love Your Way (Peter Frampton) 12. Only Love Can Break Your Heart (Neil Young) 13. Longer (Dan Fogelberg) 14. Blowing in the Wind (Bob Dylan) 15. Old Man (Neil Young) 16. And I Love You So (Don McLean) 17. Sunshine On My Shoulders (John Denver) 18. Time In a Bottle (Jim Croce)

Aside from the quality of the material which I think everyone can agree on, I really like the quantity, too! The only thing better than a new Damien recording is eighteen of them, after all... ;D

Beautiful!! Thanks Nuffy I know this has been asked before but I'm not sure if it's been answered...will there be singles released (even if just to radio) from this album? How do the radio stations play it if nothing has been released? Is it possible to get an answer from DC or SonyBMG regarding this?

Samples of EACH SONG?! *runs to listen* EDIT: I'm already so excited after just listening to the first one ('Catch The Wind'). I especially love the "dee dee dee" bit. I always make that noise (just to be weird ). Okay, now I have listened to all of the previews, and I've realised I do know some of the songs. I definitely know 'Wild World' and 'Father And Son'; and 'If' (but I think that might be because I watched the Vanguard video of it), and 'Universal Soldier' (because I saw it on the ad). And I know 'Vincent' and 'Old Man' because I've listened to them on D's MySpace/Facebook (although I think I already knew 'Vincent'). 'And I Love You So' reminds me of 'Vincent' for some reason. So far my favourites are: 'Catch The Wind', 'Vincent', 'Guitar Man', 'If', 'Father And Son', 'Longer', 'Blowin' In The Wind' and 'Universal Soldier'. I can't wait to get the album even more now!

Smiley, I think I remember someone (possibly Damien) saying that there won't be a single to promote with this album? (don't quote me though as I do know someone said it, just not 100% it was Damien) and even though an artist doesn't have a single, you are still able to ring/email a request through to them. The radio Stations will have the album, so should be able to play any song. ;D

I didn't know that about them being able to play any song- I thought it had to have been released as a single? Well that's okay then- we can request like demons!!

I am fairly certain that you can't just request any song from the album. It would have to be one that is released for airplay like AIWIY and then NJFTW even though they weren't released as commercial singles, they were released for airplay. I wonder what feature song Damien will choose off this album. Do you think it will be Vincent?
