*yawns* Hi guys! back from the second gig of our marathon! ;D
Damien was on the honey, lemon and peppermint tonight, rather than the light beer at Wellers. He had a bit of a scratchy throat..however, what is "scratchy" to D is still freakin amazing to everyone else!

He changed the SET LIST around a little tonight.

A bit of both Winter. D had a singalong in mind, but the audience kinda wimped out! However, just hearing him singing a few lines from it has wet my appetite for the full song!

Thanks guys. I'll just mention a few little things, post a (very dark) pic or two, then hit the hay.


I really wish D wouldn't make BILYW a singalong ..and I'm not the only one. he sings it so gorgeously, I don't want it interrupted.

My other little gripe is that I'd also rather Hallelujah without the (albeit stunning) guitar solo from Eric. Just a personal preference.

Also, the crowd was a slightly older and cooler one than last night. However, they warmed up hugely when D stunned the crap out of them with Everybody's Talking. ;D

Crying and Hallelujah, the old faves, once again went down a treat, so did Waiting On An Angel, and Beautiful which really werelovely. IF was gorgeous and incredibly sweet ..the last notes gently wafting into the night were breathtaking.

One little thing..I asked D about Time In a Bottle and Lilac Wine..he said Manchester Lane has a piano, so look out for them there. *crosses everything*

I'm just amazed by the set lists. I can't say yay to anything from last night or tonight cause it sounds so damn fantastic. i really don't care what he picks! But I do so love BILYW and Longer and to see he did a bit of Stairway to Heaven with Guitar Man is just...

I've been playing TWJ on repeat all tonight while everyone's off to give me the dvd hit I'm missing. This sounds so wonderful. I hope he keeps nice'n quiet tomorrow/today(!) till showtime. (Take care of yourself Damien!)

How was the meet and greet part?

I love Everybody's Talking since I was a kid and when Damien does it I love it even more ... uhhh... I agree with BILYW... I love singing with him at home but at the concert I'd luuurve to just hear him on his own please?

arrgh..having major net issues this morning..

As usual Nuffy, most of the room wanted to meet D after the gig, and as usual, he was his charming, accomodating self. we had a quick chat when he finished and he was just lovely!
another couple of ladies were totally besotted and yelling out during the gig.. things like "get it oFF!" and we LOVE YOU DAMIEN!! ..so,of course we pimped DLO to them!

Ah another great set list. Thanks for posting Trilly and are you still floating up there on cloud nine? I just absolutely adore Damien's version of Everybody's Talkin on CTW, it is heart stoppingly gorgeous. I've always really liked Nillson's version but Damien just takes it to another dimension. I sit here and listen to it (and the rest of the album) and wait for the memories to catch up. *sigh* I really hope there is no singalong at the Canberra concert, I just want to listen to Damien sing without any interruptions. And he has to do Time In A Bottle and Longer. Pleeeease Damien, if you're reading this.

OMG, Stairway To Heaven! Even to hear Damien sing a snippet of this would be enough to put me in teh coma for the next month!

Yet again, a fantastic set list and agree about BILYW he's so much better at it, so's Eric for that matter(assuming he did the harmony).
