Of course I would probably implode if you said it was Unchained Melody on the piano...you know, just like Elvis...only with far less body mass and sweat ;D

First of all, I apologise about not getting concert pictures or videos, because it turned out it was the wrong time of month for the security staff and I didn't get more than a snippet of video from the start. **** you too, security staff! In all seriousness, it was nice to just watch with no pressure to film, so it's all good. I'm just sorry I couldn't get videos for Ange and for the rest of you. :-\ Anyway, I'll relate as much as I can manage to before I crash. We were in the rear part of the hall Damien performed in before, all closed off so it was a beautifully intimate setting. Packed audience - possibly sold out, I certainly didn't see any obvious empty seats. There were a few people with tour shirts from TWJ tour, a couple we recognised from previous shows, and we heard a lot of people chattering excitedly about Damien before the show started and during intermission. We got to hear a full Jack Johnson album during the breaks. Eventually the lights dimmed, Eric came on and played a little intro, and then all of a sudden Damien was coming up the stairs and onto the stage - he surprised everybody, but he got the biggest cheer, a lot of love in this audience. ...Aw, heck, now I have to coherently describe what happened next.

Sorry if I'm a little slow with the actual content, but it's hard to concentrate when my mother is killing me telling me how she got excited during the show and threw the rose we got for Damien into the air and nearly skewered some poor audience member.

Probably a good idea Trilly - I'm not sure I'll even get done tonight, I'm supposed to be getting lots of rest so I don't die halfway through exams. I'm still writing about the second song...

Thanks for the start of your report Kami and just take your time *breathe, baby breathe.* Gawd your Mum is a crack-up. So where were we? Security were f**king arseholes, oops, not much censorship there and Elvis was fat (but gorgeous none the less! ) The set list sounds fantastic but I really do hope he leaves out 22 Steps at the Canberra concert next month.
